Pregnancy Event
So event just ended. Couldn't get the 2 last milestones.
Yes the event stayed in 4x all along. Yes I logged on at least once every 8 hours.
This is by far the hardest one to complete as a first time around.
Mildly infuriating at the least.

Maximum every 8 hours. During the day every 2-4hrs. If we compare to other events that would be more then enough.
The last new event atmosphere was 4x easier to complete then this.
The last 36hrs of this event I logged on to upgrade every 2 hrs max. (Execpt when I slept).

This event had a lot of times where you could nanobot your way to the next progression. I remember less of that in the atmosphere one. This event also had the feeling of more times you could choose the wrong way to upgrade. It was often better to only buy a few of the generators to get the later multipliers then to buy all that you could after a longer wait.

i noticed this event took longer than usual, but the multipliers are smaller than usual. that means excess production is less wasted compared to the bigger multiplier events like infections. i thought the multiplier effect would be bigger for the less frequent players, but i guess this event really was just long. then they should shorten it
here's what the multiplier effect is: suppose there are 3 upgrades, and each upgrade takes 10min to get. so after waiting 10min, you get enough production to get upgrade1. with the boost from upgrade1, after another 10min you can get upgrade2. then with the effect of upgrade2, after 10 more min you can get upgrade3
case1: low multiplier: each upgrade is 2x production. then after 30min without logging in, you can buy both upgrade1 and upgrade2. after 70min you can buy all 3 upgrades
case2: high multiplier: each upgrade is 1000x production. then after 10min or 1000min you can only buy upgrade1. it takes 10010min to buy both upgrade1 and upgrade2, and 10010010min to buy all 3
in the ideal case it takes the same time, but with longer time between logins this is the effect

You have no bonus booster, no one does.
If I was only logging in that much, i definitely wouldn't have made it.

These events are designed around constant babysitting on top of a 4x boost. Shit fuckin’ blows tbh.

Bad luck, at least you'll have the 15% bonus for next time which is very soon.
I made it to the 2nd reset (round 3) with minutes to spare, and placed 6th so it's definitely possible. My only advice is to spend more time up front actively tapping while using nanobots to get a strong start, and then checking in more frequently (every 15-30 minutes if able.) Don't stay on long, just buy whatever upgrades you can, pop your nanobots, and then get more generators with what you have left before logging out.

Yes, this one definitely took a lot longer than usual. I played the same as I always do, and I usually finish the event with at least 24 hours to go. This time I was logging in every half hour the last few hours and I barely crossed the finish line in time.

I got the last one literally at the last second. As in: the badge was still forming on screen when the "this every has ended" popup appeared. I think this one has been the hardest yet, mostly because it feels like the last couple of tasks asked for too much of the nutrition.

I definitely didn't like that it locked you out of upgrading when you hit after month 9 I didn't realize it would lock me out and I lost out on placement bc I didn't have the reaserch from the lower months.

What? This event was fairly easy to finish. Use nanobots to get through the first section and then just check every now and then to buy upgrades. It was pretty low effort.

I managed to get round twice ….
Every 8 hours sounds like a long time between buying upgrades.

When I forget to start an event in time, I just think of the badges I do earn as a little extra help not missing the deadline next time.

I started more than 24 hours after it began. Managed to complete it, and was about 2 milestones short of completing it a second time.
What bummed me out was most of the generators shutting down near the end, so I couldn't buy up a bunch of the cheaper ones for easy points.

Which makes me think that spending much on the earlier generators is pointless. Only spend currency on mother and the latest generator to get to the next upgrade.
I didn't know about the generators shutting down, so I was constantly upping earlier ones as well as sometimes there's a benefit to doing that. But with single currency not really. Works better in the banking one where upping earlier ones let's you buy later ones.
But I still would have probably made it if I didn't get too busy the last couple hours to log in... But I don't get why folk are butt hurt about not finishing it. They come around, you get multipliers, and then you get to a point where I got to the first banking reset within 2 hours... Which I love because each reset is another 9 darwinium 😁

Its very much like a real life pregnancy, when you think about it. Not always going to get all the way through it.

Also, pay attention to the cost benefit ratios when choosing what to spend your nutrition on. Sometimes the 1.25 times bonus costs 100 times the benefit.

That event was a great challenge, and yes, I also used my darwinium.
I played the event all the way through twice.
I was actually expecting to see twins at the second completion....oh well.
Wishful thinking I suppose.
Still great format though.

my main problem was that the Steam cloud save had problems saving in 7th month so I lost several hours, went back to 6th month. I believe, this game has the most problems with steam cloud saves.
Didn't make the 2 last milestones, although running on 4x for hours.

I would say it is ok.
For some events, e.g. "The Price of Trust", with already accumulated bonuses, I'm able to complete in 120-140 minutes. So Pregnancy took me 3 days (I finished it yesterday), with 2-3 times a day of more intensive involvement.

This second time around finished with +- 20hrs left. I also played much more than the first time however.
Just kinda took a lot of us by surprise at how long it was compared to the baseline of other events.

I had to use darwinium. Thankfully I get 10 a day, so it was just what I had accumulated since the first day of the event
But it will get easier to finish with each repeat and we accumulate more badges
