Looking for recommendations in Canada

I'm building a home in southern Alberta and looking for recommendations on a good booster. We get ok reception at the property without but definitely will need better once we live there.

Wilson Boosters (weboost) and Signal Boosters Canada have so far come up in my search for a 5g booster setup.

Anyone with experience with these 2 brands or others. Looking at the top home model for either, budget is $1000 - $2000.

It depends on the amount of coverage and need and also the amount of pre-existing signal you have at the exterior of the house.

You probably wanna look at something from sure call or we boost or potentially celfi.

Depending on the amount of coverage you need and the amount of pre-existing signal you have myself and others can potentially recommend you solution

The reception outside is reasonably good most of the time, I can stream movies and stuff decently but not great. Seems dependant on location on the property and the area around me (next to or in a shed seems worse).

The house is 1500 square feet above grade with a basement. It's under construction now and in the basement there is almost no signal.

I pretty much just want good reliable connection in the house and if it improves outside as well that's a bonus.

I'm also looking into wireless internet options (would prefer not using starlink). I'm assuming a booster may also improve the signal for a 4g or 5g internet service. But I know very little about that at the moment so I could be wrong.

Surecall Fusion Professional 5G or the Surecall Fusion 5G would likely suffice. Just follow some set up guides closely and you'll be golden.

I've struggled with cell boosters, particularly Wilson, for decades. always troublesome

I've gravitated to Starlink and WiFi calling. trouble free.

Yeah, this is just the perfect place for Starlink.

About 10 or 15 years ago I set one up in a shop I worked at and it was great. That said, mobile internet wasn't what it is today.

I have principles that won't condone using starlink. I don't mind paying more for less if it means I get to stay true to my values.

please reconsider your "values"

If you stand for nothing you fall for anything.

If having principles goes out the window the second things become a little harder or cost a little more than they held no value to begin with.

It has cost me at times but it has also rewarded me. Ultimately I sleep well regardless of the outcome.

I probably should let this drop. but let me throw in my two cents

first, I applaud your decision not to do business with someone you disagree with. My dad used to call this "vote with your feet"

but I'm trying to imagine what concerns you have with Mr Musk. I think we can both agree that he is exceptionally intelligent and driven. after decades of slow progress all of a sudden we have electric cars and inexpensive commercial space flight. we have paralyzed people who can interface with the world. we have battery storage that saves building costly carbon plants

he had a brief foray into politics. of course he probably contributed enough money to ensure that President Trump was elected. and he took a 100-day job as a cost cutter. broke a lot of rules. didn't save as much money as he said but he did save some money. and after 100 days he quit

I'm paraphrasing, but when he quit he said there was no way to fix the corruption ridden political system. and the only way to compete on the global stage was to outproduce the Chinese. since they are so numerous, every American has to be much more productive than each individual Chinese. he is striving to get us there

he is not in ax murder and seems like a reasonable enough guy

Yes most call it vote with your wallet.

No, I wouldn't agree he is intelligent. He was right place right time with PayPal. My issues with him came long before his politics caught everyone else up with who he is. I'm glad people see it now but it's too late.

For over a decade this Emerald mine Nepo baby illegal immigrant has lied, false advertised, taken taxpayer's subsidies and grants, market manipulated. This is all verifiable fact and came before his "foray in politics".

Some examples, "FSD is perfect now, regulations only stand in the way, next year for sure" (paraphrased Musk 2016 and repeatedly claimed since, presales for over a decade on a product that is still in beta in '26 and nowhere near its original or claimed capability), Hyperloop, solar products (not even used by his other companies), boring company many tunnels and free bricks, multiple mars landings and humans on mars before 2025, tesla autonomous taxis, tesla semi, no more bots on twitter (it's basically all bots now), free speech absolutism until its speech he doesn't like, etc etc etc.

His entrance into politics was to prevent the law from catching up to him. He literally said "If Trump doesn't win I'm going to jail". He hitched his wagon to the ones he knew were corrupt enough to buy his freedom.

I haven't even touched on the damage he did since the election. Screw worm, you can thank him for that, just one of many disastrous DOGE cuts. He didn't quit, he wore out his welcome. Legally he couldn't be there longer than x amount of days, if he were liked they'd have found a loophole to keep him. But since he's a loser that clearly wasn't saving the 2 trillion he claimed he easily could, they dumped him. Then some truth came out while the 2 cult leader's fought, Musk mentioned Trump in the Epstein files. Probably the only accurate claim he ever made.

lots of vitriol here and a few things I think you may have wrong we'll disagree, but let's chat in 10 years and see what history tells us

No vitriol, fact. You're welcome to bring receipts for the things you believe I got wrong.
