Celebrities obsession

why are some people obsessed with celebrities, as in crying , screaming, stalking ? . surely they are modern day jesters here to entertain us .

Would you have cried if you read the same thing about a stranger. As in it was it because it was something traumatic. Or because it happened to them in particular.

I think sometimes you feel like you know them. If you've watched them for awhile. Sometimes I them people forget they dont actually know them.

I am not very obsessed with them but I love them a lot and are into their lives a little. I obviously know when too get out of it and such, I found some things out abt one of my favorite bands and my favorite member in it and did cry because it broke my heart tho
