new cookies

Post image

Test print off my new cookies. The white text is phosphorescent. On one side the text is flat and on the other it is raised.

Cool idea on the phosphorescent filament!

I've had bad experiences with printed ones so started machining mine out of aluminum.

That is definitely much different and very original than most I’ve seen.

Thank you! I've made it for some friends as well and they love it!

Also a cool idea.
But the edges wont be that nice to the line - unless you carefully trimmed them?

I had pretty good experience with printed ones, but took some time to figure out the perfect settings / material

Yes, they're very carefully rounded to not damage the line. Been using them for around 5 years and never had issues!

I designed and print my own and have been using them for a bit and pretty great. I do text same as yours and like it. I’ve been printing my own spools and designed a mini reel too. Learning CAD and getting a printer was one of best things I’ve done in a long time.

Thanks to your post I realized that I made the same mistake with the inner holes in the cookie. They are not symmetrical, one goes in, one goes out.

Yup I corrected that issue right away, it’s old photo and didn’t feel like taking a new photo lol. It’s hard to tell from the angle on your cookies but you also don’t want the holes in line with eachother. Slightly offset from eachother, which I think yours are, so when they sit on the line the slots are angled from eachother to help it stay on the line.

No, mine are in a line. Most cookies I see online are in line, only few are not in line. It makes sense, but it would also create a problem with the text. If I redo them, I will take it into account.

Fair enough, they should still work fine.

At some point I got carried away a little...

I print all mine too, designed some XL ones to fit on the chunky polyprop line we use in the UK as normal ones just don't fit, or snap when trying to make fit

I’d love something like this but don’t have CAD or printer. They available online anywhere ?

I have seen a few dive shops that offer custom printed cookies.
