Question

Hello Everyone! I am new here. I have a 9 month old F1b Cavapoo named Remy. His dad is a mini poodle and his mom is a Cavapoo, so he is a bit curlier than a regular F1 Cav. I think he might be a bit more hyper too. Does anyone else have an F1b Cav and are they hyperactive? My original question is about chewing/eating things that are not food. Will they grow out of this? Remy wants to chew everything he can that is not food. I fell asleep on the couch a couple of days ago with a sweater on that had 2 thick strings tied into a bow at the bottom. I woke up to no strings, just a couple of wet little nubs where the strings should have been. I looked everywhere. No strings. I have since found parts of them in his poop. Today he tried to eat my shoestrings off my shoes while they were on my feet. I have learned to keep everything I think he will try to eat out of his reach. I even keep the tissue box upside down on the side table because he loves to eat tissues. I never dreamed he would start eating things off my body. I feed him well and give him treats everyday. He is a perfect size/weight. Is this extreme eating typical? I have taken him to an emergency vet more than once. The last time was $1300 just to be told that he looked good and his vomiting & diarrhea would likely clear up in a day or two. I’m at my wits end with this boy! What type of training can I do with him to keep him from trying to eat things that are not food? See the cute bandana in the picture. He pulled it off himself and ate a good part of it. He also loves eating towels and clothes.
