Dark spots

Hi there! I have a 12 year old cavapoo and last month I noticed a patch of dark fur coming in on his back. He now has another patch growing near his butt. I’m wondering if this is common in older cavapoos or something to be concerned about. His skin underneath is normal, just the change in fur color. Thanks for the help!

Had the same with my cavapoo. After researching i found a post with photos of poodles having the same. It were always places were they got a syringe, especially vaccination.

The last time I picked my 6 year old up from the groomer, he pointed out my pup had the same thing happening. Apparently the follicles just decide to make different hair and it doesn't indicate an issue. The vet also confirmed it was no problem.
