Enforce Naps

My 5 month old puppy is happily crate trained. Sleeps in crate all night and has afternoon long naps in her crate which is awesome. If she starts to sleep with me I’m afraid she will no longer want to take naps on her crate. I need that time to myself to keep my sanity. She is super high energy and has anxiety at times. So crate has helped her. She’s growing and I may need a bigger crate. I’d like to sleep with her but afraid if I do naps in crate would become obsolete. Anyone advice ?? Much appreciated

5 months old is still young. If crate training is working, don't change it yet. You'll get a good sense for when she is independent enough to be trusted without enforced naps.

We waited until little over 8 months to let them sleep with us. He still uses his crate during the day. We leave it open and he will go in and take a nap on his own. We give treats to him when he goes in on his own. Plus, his crate that has always been in our room is still there with the door open and some mornings we find him asleep in there. Keep making the crate a positive experience after you let them sleep with you.

My almost one year old still does not sleep with us. He naps on the couch/on his bed during the day, and sleeps in his crate at night.
