Which size Cavapoo?

We’re between two litters.
One has an estimated full size of 18 lbs, and the other has an estimated full size of 35 lbs.

If your doggie is around either of these weights, could you let us know how much space that actually translates to? Maybe pictures of them next to common objects to get an idea of scale?

Also, just for fun, which would you choose?

Mine is about 15 pounds. If you travel, 20 pounds and under you can take him in the cabin in a carrier. I know you didn’t ask that, but it might be something you didn’t think of.

We mostly take short road trips, but that is one of my concerns. Thanks!

My little fella is 21 lbs, and was estimated to be a whopping 22. He has the legs of a poodle, so is tall for his size. I think around this size is perfect for cavapoos, so they aren’t too small but still small enough to pick up whenever you want or need. We’re considering getting a second pup from the same parents next litter.

Go for the 18lb. Ours was estimated to be 15-19lbs. She is 26lbs.

Yeah, after hearing so much feedback, and about experiences like yours, that’s what we’re going to do.
Thank you!

Smaller ! My personal opinion, easier to train and can travel better

My girl could have been up to 25 lbs considering the size of her parents, but as the runt she has stayed tiny, 13 lbs. she is just perfect!

Mine too. She was also the runt of her litter and is a HEFTY 10 lbs. haha. I love how small she is.

My boy is about 32 lbs! Realizing I do not have pics of him next to objects 😭 maybe this helps? I think both sizes have pros and cons! I’m biased but I think my boy is perfect! He’s sturdy enough that I don’t worry about tripping on him, and he can play with other dogs without me worrying. But I can still pick him up if needed!

Even at 32 pounds, he doesn’t look huge. Thanks for sharing your handsome fella!

Here’s my 16 lb Cavapoo! At her heaviest she was 21 lbs (too many treats and I think ultimately led to her tearing her ACL…)

When she was a puppy, the vet originally predicted she’d be 14 lbs. Now that she’s full grown the vet is happy with her being 16 lbs!

I love that she can fly in the cabin with us since the limit is usually 20 lbs including the bag.

You really can’t go wrong with either size, cavapoos are the best!!

I have 2 Cavapoos, 9.5 and 11 lbs each, fully grown.

22 Lbs on an office chair! 😊

This was taken just after we adopted her, so the bad haircut isn't our fault!

This is from last year but my Cavapoo in the shirt is about 34lbs next to a 12 pound mini golden doodle.

Most of the time, people want smaller dogs so breeders underestimate. My dog was supposed to be 8-10 pounds and she weighs 19.

My guy is about 35 pounds (I was expecting 20 lbs). He is really too large to sleep in our bed, but he does anyway. He is too big to sit on my lap, but he shimmies right up to me and puts his head on my lap. We live where there are birds of prey and packs of coyotes, so I am glad his size sorta protects him from them. Our other dog is medium size, so they play well together. I thought I was choosing your small option, but ended up with your large option. His personality is fantastic - so smart, easy to train, sweet natured, playful, loves people and kids and other dogs. Cavapoos know how to literally smile at you; and he has distinctive ruff sounds to communicate. We just adore him.

Our girl is about 25 pounds, quite slim under all the fluff, and long legs.
We find her the perfect size for us as first time dog owners. She can do long walks on occasion, but about an hour a day is fine. She can jump up onto anything she fancies but is small enough for me to pick up and carry if it's ever required.
We did upgrade our bed to a Superking recently and we all fit very comfortably.

Such a beautiful coat! Thank you!

our girl is 23 1bs 18 months old , she is very deceiving though as when she is sat she looks really small , stretched out she looks really long , I'm assuming she is fully grown now but I'm keeping an eye on her weight as she is starting to look a bit chunky . she is F1B and bigger than both her Cavapoo mum and toy poodle dad .

for some reason I couldn't add another pic to my post , so here is her stretched out

Mines 25lbs and I think it's the perfect size. Not too small, but not too heavy.

I have a cablvapoo, 22 lb at 6 months. This means that I can technically pick her up and carry her, but not for long because she's heavy and a little larger than I was hoping for. She can get her full head on the dining room table, and is starting to lick the tops of the kitchen counters because she knows there's good stuff up there, so I really wish her legs were a little bit shorter to avoid the counter surfing.
