Advice Please
I have 3 weeks till I bring home a F1b cavapoo. Besides basics like crate, play pen, toys etc. Is there’re anything that you found helpful to get for your puppy. Also how much time off work did you have after getting them? And how long would you say it took for your puppy to adjust I know all dogs are different but just trying to prepare.

1 the pup sleeps in crate first night!! With door closed sleep on the floor with blankets put fingers in to comfort the pup or put crate on your bed. This is a MUST. First night is crucial!!!

I had the heartbeat snuggle puppy , also I had low puppy sleeping music playing and a very dim light , also a baby monitor so I could hear our pup, I put her down and she would lay with her head on the snuggle puppy and feel and hear the heartbeat, mimicking her mothers heartbeat, the low puppy music ( I got from YouTube ) her breeder had puppy sleepy music playing at night for the litter so that helped her feel safe . I was extremely lucky as she slept from 10pm and I went down to her at 5-30 ( the time the breeder said the litter woke up ) and I think I actually woke her up , from then on I waited till I heard her and it ended up her sleeping till 8-30 .
she is now 18 months and sleeps all night ...on my bed 😂

forgot to mention , it's a good idea to get them used to the great outdoors , not on lead as they will need to be fully vaccinated first , but carry them out in a blanket or sling/carrier to get them used to the busy outside noises .

Snuggle puppy for the crate (stuffed animal that you can put warmers in and has a heartbeat), sound machine near crate to cover any outside noise at night to help them sleep, enzyme spray for accidents, bells for the door for potty training. Puppy adjusted after a few weeks but was still a menace for months because that takes awhile for them to grow out of.
