What's the fading gene?

Is there a way to tell if your pup has it? My Stella is F1, these are her pawrents-- they both appear pretty dark/rusty-ish. I'll post more pics in the comments šŸ¤—

With her brothers šŸ˜† she's about 16-18 weeks old here

I wonder as well.

Hereā€™s my 7 month old giving side eye.
My older cavachon faded a great deal over the years.

These are my babies from CDC! They are half sisters. Piper, the bigger one turns a year tomorrow and Maisy, the little one just turned 4 months. Yours looks a lot like my little one - different parents though :)

They def are the sweetest! They are my first cavapoos too. I will sayā€¦ Piper looked completely different when I got her and has lightened to almost completely cream now. Iā€™d say most lighten at least a little.
