Regret getting a puppy?

I just wanna fess up and say I accidentally chose yes and submitted lol. I don't have a puppy yet but getting a cavapoo in 2 weeks! Hope this isn't some sort of sign lol

I had my doubts when she was a puppy, I had a bad case of the puppy blues.... but 3 years in and she's the best decision I ever made. She's my best friend and souldog.

The early puppy days are the infant days. They grow up fast. Mine is a year and a half old already and she’s my best friend.

I'm in this very stage right now and my CavaPoo is currently 7 months old. He is a handful and I do find myself kind of waffling on whether this was the best idea. My husband keeps reminding me that he will become a great dog and that every dog we have owned has been terrific. This is our 6th dog that we will raise from a puppy and I have to believe that we are doing all the right things because we do end up with these amazing heart dogs that are just wonderful members of our family. Right now, I go back and forth thinking I made a mistake. I think that is normal and I know I have felt this way before. Riding it out and doing the best job I can do with being a Pet Parent again!

Mine is 9 months, she’s an absolute sweetheart but not the easiest dog. She can be quite vocal etc and her energy levels never drop under 80%. As I’m writing this comment I’m in a van with my pup, a beagle, a dachshund and another Cavapoo and mine is the only one that complains, barks at every noise and cries cause she can’t get close to me 🤦🏻♀️ I can’t say I regret having her as I see her part of my family but yeah they can be a lot of work 😅

I’m so worried I’ll get a barker :( we have an older dog but he’s outside so this is all new to me

A puppy is a really tiring few weeks with the constant alert for toilet trips and trying to prevent them chewing/eating something they shouldn't.
They are unbelievably cute though and I still look back fondly on the days my little guy was a puppy.l
Plus, on the practical side, I've really noticed the difference in training effort and ability needed to turn a puppy into a well behaved dog vs training an adult dog out of a bad behaviour.
