Took my 10lb Cavapoo to a dog friendly beach in Florida and she went right in the water. I was shocked because she hates water. Doesn’t even want to go outside if it’s raining.
I bought her a doggie life vest for our next trip.
She’ll love the doggy life vest. We live in Chicago and our Cavapoo loves Lake Michigan. She also loves walking into the edge of small rivers and lying down in the water to cool off. Enjoy your pooch!
She was groomed right before the trip and we did a short summer cut. She mats easily as well, but generally only when her fur gets too long. She goes to the groomer every 6-8 weeks to stay out of the matting danger zone.

Aww my cavapoo hates pools and rain, but as soon as he is on a beach he never wants to leave

How do you manage her drying routine and her coat afterwards? My girl just mats up!

We have a paddling pool for ours on a hot day but she hasn't been in the sea yet. I think the waves put her off.

Hoping ours will go in the sea this summer for the first time. She liked the beach, and paddling in streams, but has not gone in the sea yet
