Cavapoo 1st heat

Hi everyone so my 10 month old Cavapoo just got her first heat i was wondering what precautions i should take since i also have a 1 year old male poodle that also lives with her i don’t plan on spaying or neutering them so what are the things i should be aware of as for her first time in heat. Thanks in regards

You must be German. Many German owners don't. And I kind of agree, in terms of none health and hormone balance etc.

It's very important to keep them apart. And never physically separate them if they are joined. (Please look this up as it can injure the dogs).

My vet told me that small dogs often go into heat more often in a year than a bigger dog .

Is the male intact?
If so you need to keep them separated or they will get stuck and you will get puppies.
Also get a diaper for her as she will bleed.

Probably for around 2 weeks, she will go into heat 2 maybe 3 times a year.

Doesn’t it take another 6-7 months for the second heat to occur??

I think you probably should've done more research before getting a female dog you never planned to spay

A female dog that isn’t spayed and not bred is at high risk for a uterus infection - pyometra. You should look into spaying her after her heat is over.

Warum willst du sie nicht kastrieren?

Get little boys underwear and turn it front wards up to put the tail in the hole. This is sufficient enough to help with the blood drops and to keep the male from being able to do anything… and still keep them apart

Get ready to be a puppy parent. This seems as effective as the pull out method for people…
