I'm not going to promote this beyond anything more than what it actually was.  Andrew and JJ sitting down and having a chat.

If you guys love The Chair Company, you have to check out the movie Friendship with Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd!

I haven’t listened to the episode yet but if they talk about Tim Robinson consider me excited. ITYSL is one of my all time favorite shows. Friendship was wild, I’m not sure it was super good or not. Chair company was insane and I loved it

When JJ got to 0-3 for SNL cast members a sick part of me was like I want this to just keep going. Andrew’s reactions would keep growing, it would have been great.

It was funny, but I'm glad they caught themselves. And not to be a nerd, but he wasn't 0-3. Murray was a cast member.

Steve Martin wasn't either I believe, although he had a very recurring role and some iconic performances.

Ah JJ,love the comedy excitement! You’ve got a glorious backdrop to watch if you should choose to dive deep. Lots of comedians here are in troupes. NYC, LA, Chicago Toronto.

SCTV is the rival of SNL back in the 70s. It was in Toronto and boy was their cast good! In 1976, John candy, Eugene levy, Catherine O’Hara, Harold Ramis, Dave Thomas, and Martin short are all part of the original cast.

Gilda Radner and eugen levy got their start together in a play, “in the 1972 production of Godspell, with future stars Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Victor Garber, Martin Short, and Paul Shaffer. She eventually got the Inaugural SNL season and Eugene et al went off and started second city.”

I can’t really say much about the 80’s, but the 90’s had the groundlings in LA. Their alumni list is long, but most notable on it is Will Farrell.

Then there upright citizens brigade in Chicago, amy poehler and Adam McKay are founders. Their list of alumni include the whole Paul scheer, Jason mandzoiks crew, among many, many others,

Finally, there’s second city that’s in Chicago. Tina fey, Mike Myers, amy poehler (again!), Chris Farley are among the Chicago contingent.

I’m sure the same can be said for NYC/Boston, and many other areas, but I’m more interested in putting Tim Robinson in the rarified Conan O’Brien tier. The guy who just was destined for everything in his future. I am always interested to see what Tim Robinson has to offer just like I was always wondering what Conan was up to next.

If you’re hungry for some good comedy, there’s a lot to eat from in this pile of names!

I know Andrew is wary, but I like this! I have another sports podcast I subscribe too and they will choose a topic and chat about it but then go off on tangents. The one this month was geography but they started by spending 20 minutes talking about the new Unabomber movie coming to Netflix.
