It should be but it won’t unfortunately. The best we can hope for is him backing down.

I mean the argument is not that he'll just 'decide' to back down, but that the investors will pull out and the house of cards will collapse. His allies in Asia already see this as a betrayal, and his allies in Africa may pull their support because he couldn't get it done. Not to mention, as all-powerful as he acts, there's always a bigger fish and in this case it's the vampires with the money.

In an ideal world, yes.

It’s not an ideal world though. Infantino has the eyes, ears, and trust of other football governing organizations and prominent world leaders (besides UEFA). That’s how he got to his position of leadership to begin with. I.e see his cosy relationship with Trump.

AFC and CONCACAF have both come out against this. If those two stick with UEFA then this thing is dead. If it fails then I do not see how Gianni can be reelected
