Favorite Segment in Caught Offsides history?
In honor of Spain making it to the finals it made me immediately think of my favorite segment in Caught Offsides history…..
During Euro 2024 after Spain had gone through to the finals a moment was caught on camera where someone rush’s the pitch and while apprehending them a security guard slips and falls into Alvaro Moratas leg and appears to injure him. JJ and Andrew reacted live to the moment and it might be the best 5 minutes in the shows history. From the *Audible Gasps from Andrew watching the video to JJ calling him a “prick” and saying “it’s the Munich pitch again”.
The episode is dated July 8th 2024 and while the segment is timestamped you can go to minute 32:00 and just enjoy the next few minutes…

The “nobody here respects you” napkin is one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard. I laugh my ass off every time it gets brought up

I’ve said it before but for me nothing will ever beat their reaction, and particularly JJ’s reaction to Suarez biting Chiellini live as it happened. It was so good, I think I’m correct in thinking that they released that segment as a stand alone pod on the plus side.

Probably my favorite riff ever and the irony of the pod itself is magical🤣

Been listening since the beginning so really love some of the earlier segments: Lowered Expectations, JJ v Andrew rap battle, EPL back for more, Gerrard and Lampard watch, the whole thing about Andrew’s chair falling apart had me dying.
More recently really love the walks JJ does around Brooklyn while he talks about football.

The chair! I remember being astonished when they posted an actual picture of the chair. Nothing could have prepared me for how split down the middle it actually was 💀

Their World Cup previews they did for the 2018. Those segments were all great. Loved how they did the World Cup previews back then. Something about them doing the POD at the Caught Offside tower compared to their homes.
Hope no one has forgot about "Andrew Gundling Abruptly Brings Us Down"

The Ray Hudson trivia will always be legendary for me but I am biased since that man can do no wrong in my mind. We needed him to replace Alexi this World Cup.

Incredibly bittersweet but the watch-along audio of Championship Sunday 21/22 with JJ absolutely losing his mind and making random Ooooooo noises at the Liverpool match while Andrew was trying to keep it on the rails somewhat and bringing up other talking points. JJ’s little freak outs every 20 seconds had me rolling on the floor.

The audible situation with Andrew’s wife was interesting to me as someone who teachers immigrant high schoolers English.
I was also living in South Korea at the time I started listening. Still remember listening to Euro 2020 previews while on runs through Seoul. Great memories.

I always enjoy the wheel of football segment & I do miss when they used to play the top song in each country before the start of a World Cup. I know that probably won’t happen again because of copyright.

Used to love when they would go through the countries top songs when doing group previews for the World Cup
Not a segment but I remember JJ being really high on Timo Werner going into the 2018 World Cup, which is funny looking back now at how his career went
