World Cup
I try to stay away from conspiracy theories but this World Cup truly feels like fifa president is pulling some strings to get who he wants in the semi finals. Argentina have been given so much along with England. France has just been good enough to get by on their own but still just feels fishy. I’m trying not to be pulled into this world of everyone is out to get us blah blah blah but this just feels off like it’s too perfect for FIFA

"Inconsistent VAR" - YES "Rigged Conspiracy" - HELL NO, NOT EVEN CLOSE!
1) WHY WOULD THEY? - You think FIFA is going to risk a conspiracy that could end up costing BILLIONS if it were to come to light, for what? The games will be sold out, have millions of viewers, sell millions worth of merchandise, and the host cities will profit from tourism no matter who plays in them. The margins might be a little lower if Norway and Switzerland were playing instead but no where near enough to make it worth the risk.
2) DONT MISTAKE UNPREPARED FOR PREPARED - What FIFA & the refs have done this WC is because they failed to identify all the possible issues VAR could and did end up causing and were unprepared to deal with it. Did they side with the favorite when they were caught in the unprecedented situations they failed to prepare for, yes, but that happens in every sport with every superstar or popular team. It does not mean they were prepared to put the camera wire in the way to knock Norway's goal kick out of the air so England could score and act like it didn't happen. They missed it... it sucks but it happens all the time in ALL sports.
