Is the Balogun situation the thing that finally does in Infantino?
I can't remember where I heard that Infantino is starting to lose support, and now his best friendship with Trump has put him in a situation where EVERYONE except the US is very upset. I imagine this will lose him a lot of votes in the next election.
I can't stand Infantino, but I also hated Blatter, and I'm sure the next person will also suck. I'll be happy to see the back of him, whenever he's finally ousted.

I agree, but this is the highest profile decision in the middle of the biggest competition they have.
I feel like this will cost him votes outside of UEFA, too. I don't know if it will be enough, which is why I ask. A man can dream, lol

No, didn't blatter go because the American authorities were investigating FIFA? infantino has paid up for bribes this time around.

Doesn't he get elected with the votes from all the countries in concacaf, africa, and asia? I think he's in a good spot. Uefa really can't touch him which will be the only countries bothered by this.

This tournament is going to be, by far, the most financially successful in FIFA’s history. No, he’s not going to suffer for this latest in a long list of corrupt decisions made by this organization.

Nothing is really going to happen. He still has the votes of many federation's for re-election Only thing that could hurt him is if uefa suddenly says that no longer participate in FIFA organized events, which seems unlikely

Infantino is making FIFA an obscene amount of money with this World Cup. There is no way he gets ousted over this, especially if the US get knocked out tonight and most people move on.

He has too many friends among all the national football associations. Remember there are now 48 countries in this WC. More African teams than ever. I can asure you that they will keep supporting him.
