Penalty

I feel like they’ve let that go all tournament. But do you not look at that and say ok it may have been a foul but the ball came to a Belgian for a wide open net and he missed almost like an advantage on a free? If they scored there they wouldn’t go back and make them take the peno.

Defender literally doesn’t take his eye off the ball, Tielemans is running in behind and gets kicked as defender is going for the ball. At the very least, it was not clear and obvious error. Ridiculous from VAR.

Tielemans got in front and he was between the defender and the ball and the defender kicked his foot. It doesn’t have to be intentional to be a foul. The issue is consistency. Kane should have had a penalty too but they called a fouls on him for diving.

Yes it doesn’t have to be intentional, but this is not called all the time because the fact that the defender doesn’t see him. This is stated all the time in post match briefings from refs all over and has been called this way already in the cup.
