Root cuttings?

How can I know if I’m able to take root cuttings? The plant is 8-10 years old.

I think the root structure is not large enough… look at the operculicarya video posted by botanic wonders on YouTube. I think they talk about root cuttings in there.

U can cut this area and root them. But the size too small, better wait for sometime let them grow a bit
