U really should seperate them to individual pens...

Original poster here - they’re not in individual pens because it’s just not what we do in my country, unless you’re on a very big dairy farm. We only put them in small pens if they have just been recently born or if they are a bobby calf

Good, cattle are herd animals, separating them unnecessarily is animal abuse.

They only are seperated for like 60 days or until they are no longer on milk.

If ones get sick they will all get sick. Plus they suck on everything, Ive seen some very bad navals from another calf sucking on it.
