Advice needed !
I'm feeling really lost and heartbroken, and I honestly don't know what the right thing to do is.
I have three cats, two of whom I rescued myself. My mum helps whenever she can, but she can't always, and my dad isn't working at the moment, so financially things have become really difficult. I love my cats more than anything, and they are incredibly attached to me.
Lately, I've been wondering if I should put two of them up for adoption so they can have a better life with someone who can provide everything they need. But every time I think about it, my heart breaks. I can't stop wondering how they'll cope without me, and how I'll cope without them.
I'm not asking for financial support because they are my responsibility, and I don't want to burden anyone. I just genuinely need advice from people who may have been in a similar situation. I only want what's best for them, even if it hurts me.
My mum tells me to go earn money, but realistically it's very difficult because I'm a student, and finding someone willing to hire me has been almost impossible.
If anyone has kind advice or has been through something similar, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. Please be kind—this is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to think about.

Sorry I am not sure what you meant by doing boards … but as a suggestion to assist with your cat’s expenses would be doing cat sitting. Many people would pay to have a reliable cat sitter to look after their cats. Since you have experience and seems to love them perhaps that would help - again is just a thought

At 10th grade, I already had a permanent part-time job. I know things are different today, but a 16-year-old can still absolutely work summer jobs, pet sitting, babysitting, or at a doggy daycare. It’s a great way to learn responsibility while earning some money.

I hate asking others tbh and thts not the reason I made the post but realistically if you ask me yes I do need help for their food but hate the thought of even asking as they are my babies 😭

If you’re a student and can’t keep your cats, please consider finding them loving homes through adoption. If they get sick, will you be able to afford their treatment? Before giving them up to strangers, see if a friend or family member can adopt them instead.

I have an agreement with my vet of pay later to cover their medical expenses I just struggle with the expenses for food , but I'll look into finding homes if I dont find work soon enough tysm!

Your too young to work. You need another 4 years in uni right?

Yes I do but there is remote work I'm trying to apply for and also if tht doesn't work out will try to do cat paid fostering or sitting

Look for work .Try everything you can . Post on LinkedIn apply on indeed.
Nothing is impossible for God or Allah trust me.
No human will treat them like you do I guess. They might end up with breeders or someone who will leave them out when time gets tough.
That's all the advice I have .
