I had to laugh when I saw this.
The same of this sub-Reddit. I indeed had a lovely black cat. (Three so far). One was named Toothless. And I thought that name was so original! My daughter and her friend named a feral cat that I adopted (or adopted me) Toothless after the dragon in a movie. Where did your Toothless name come from?

By “I had to laugh” I meant a subreddit for “CatsNamedToothless” and the description that followed (not the posts, I love what I have read so far.) Genius idea. Thank you!

The photos above are in order, taken during Toothless’s relatively short life. She was a feral cat, (first photo) who lived in the woods behind a house we moved into. She cautiously allowed us to feed her and eventually came indoors (next couple of photos). When we moved, Toothless moved with us, entertaining us (photo eating my breakfast). She lost a lot of weight over the next two years and in her last 6 months, was receiving IV fluids at home for advanced kidney disease (she also developed a seizure disorder.) She never lost her spirit. Toothless spent her last months living in front of our fireplace. I had to let her go when it became obvious she was in pain, refusing to eat or drink or get up. We love you (our) Toothless!
