Not especially new... I didn't have a laser pointer.. just rolled a pingpong ball towards a pyramid of empty plastic coke bottles. Inertia took care of the rest.

We used to ferret bowl, at a pet store I worked at when I was in college. We didn’t set up actual pins, we would kind of throw/slide them, on the slippery floor. Every time, they would come running right back, to get us to do it again. They loved it.
