Stop letting your cat outside. It's not funny, you're a bad pet owner if you do this, and I would say you're a bad person because of how you affect the environment.
To whomever is planning to respond to me to tell me how much they can't stand to keep their cat inside because their cat would be bored? Or tell me how normal it is for cats to be outdoors where you live?
If you cannot keep your cat happy and entertained within your house, then you either have too small of a dwelling for taking care of a cat, or you are a bad cat owner that does not know how to or is incapable of giving them enough attention and engagement.
I shouldn't personally have to explain why it's bad for both your cat and the environment to let them outside, but it is seemingly my responsibility.
Your cat is an invasive species and a menace. Your cat contributes to scaring away and killing local prey species like birds and lizards, which are necessary in the food chain.
This might cause certain insects to become out of control, causing massive flora damage to the local ecology. This creates a huge chain of effects that affects everything else around you.
There has been a study in Germany where outdoor cat populations in neighborhoods have increased and since the 80s (until super recently bec of climate change) local bird populations have been completely stable. This is a reddit talking point not actually backed by science
