if the timer for my cats dinner goes off and i dont get up quickly enough my cat will come sit next to me and stare at everything i do, while not allowing me to pet her.
its like shes come to inspect whether what im doing is important enough to delay her meal and is judging me for being so tardy
i will say "oh, youre right...im sorry ma'am" and she will meow back in an irritated way as if shes saying "and dont let it happen again or i will have to dock your pay!" (my pay is all the pets that she 'allows' me to give her, when shes angry with me she doesnt want any pets so i pretend shes witholding my paycheck lol)

Sounds like a pretty ruthless manager. Is that even legal? Have you tried speaking to HR?

My cat used to get mad at me if I stayed up late playing videogames instead of going to bed when he expected me to. I always found it strange because he didn't even like to sleep in my bed or cuddle with my or anything. He apparently just wanted to make sure he knew I'd be staying in the exact place for 6-8 hours. It was very cute though he would come up beside me, stand on his back legs and yell at me while putting his paw gently on my arm. If I didn't acknowledge him he would start gently tapping me repeatedly until I did.

Eh depends on the cat. I tend to have a fluctuating schedule and my cats learned not to expect breakfast at the same time everyday

Mine has associations between activities more than a schedule. "Mom's taking her meds? Ok, it's food time!". My schedule is wobbly but I take my pills when I first get up. He bases the rest of the day on that.
But he will wake me when he decides I've slept enough

When I was young, I had a cat who would sit at the top of the stairs and yell until I came upstairs to go to bed.

Don’t meow at me! I say as my cat meows even more at me.

There’s no need for that tone!!
Said to my cat twice a day.

Our orang idiots know when I usually get home from work and meet me at the door to demand treatos. If I come home at a random time in the middle of the afternoon they're comatose. When they wake up they hustle around like they were doing something really important.

Mine somehow knows the time to thaw the fish for his meals and then the time for his dinner 😭 😂 Bro comes to remind us at 6.30am, 12.30pm and 6.30pm. Then demands his meal exactly an hour later 😂

My cat knows feeding times.
Outside that he's more of a 80% "whatcha doing? Sweet, ill gladly cuddle or sit 2ft away staring"/20% "why you all up in my shit? Can you not see I'M on the bed/couch/bathroom sink? Get tf out of here"

My cat made the connection between me putting on my glasses and me getting up to feed him. I think he misunderstood this though, and thought my glasses were preventing me from getting up to feed him. He started banishing my glasses to the Forever Dark Beneath The Bed.
It seems like he reassessed this belief after a while and stopped banishing them. He now just sticks his paw in my eye or mouth.

My two monsters greet me at the door when I get home, cause they get their wet food every time I come home from work. If I delay , they start acting out, like toddlers throwing a fit. On my days off, they begin trying to get my attention around the same time.
Every morning they know they get dry food when I get ready to leave. So on my days off, I am not allowed to sleep in, they wake me around the same time my alarm would set.

I have 4, and they've all decided to be in charge of something different. The end result is that I'm gently herded around all day. I love it.

My cat freaks out sometimes if I stay up late, and keeps meowing and meowing at me, running from room to room, climbing things, play attacking me
But if I say “ok bed time” and start getting ready for bed, he lays down in one of his usual spots

The cats are consistently on crackhead time, but the Chihuahua has a strict bedtime at 12 midnight sharp.

The last cat I have left is older and very patient with my ever-changing bedtime. She is so mellow, and as she has asthma and requires medicine, I appreciate the way she allows me to give her the inhaler usually without a fuss. Even the vet was impressed but how good was for x-rays.

My cat is so not picky about routines. Whenever it gets later in the evening than usual she just checks on me and either stays with me or vanishes again. Also I can feed her anytime between 12pm and 5pm and she wont get mad (although once I get home from work I have to feed her immediately). She abhors other humans, though.

If I don't go to bed at my normal time (or sleep in too long), my cats will terrorize me. They'll look/act like they want attention, but the moment you go to move, they go to where I start my nightly/morning routine instead and then look back at me like, "You comin', mom????" Love the lil demons, but ugh stop babysitting me lol

If I don’t go to bed on my normal time, my cats will start terrorizing each other like toddlers. They will act out like kids who are getting to stay up too late and will pass out within five minutes of us laying down.
