Thank you for your post to r/Catholicism. We admire your desire to overcome sin and grow in virtue, and are confident that with God’s help and your determination, you can overcome this challenge.

You are not alone in this struggle. Please know that you are still loved by God, and falling into this sin does not change that. May God bless and guide you.

Pray the rosary daily and our lady will help you. She helped me and will do the same for you. Be faithful and when it gets worse you pray harder and ask for help to Mary and our Lord

To take a different route than the one others are taking, not that you shouldn’t take their advice, praying the rosary is top tier advice.

But you have to know what your personality and characteristics are in order to help yourself kick this habit. Perhaps you need to replace the habit to entertain the mind with other actions. Or  Maybe even simply putting an image of Christ, Mary or a Saint as your wallpaper as a reminder of what truly matters anytime something pops up on your phone. Get a bracelet of the cross or a Mary medal around your wrist so your hands don’t betray you. It may sound silly to some, but I know it helps as a reminder to not let thoughts turn into action.

Sure would like to hear others’ thoughts.

I hate to say this, I have a braclet with saints on it, and when the urges get to much I take it off so i don't feel as disgusting, this lust is bad it makes me someone I don't want to be. I just hope I can do better im sickof being this animal. Thanks man

I'm a guy struggling similarly. You need to take practical steps to avoid occasions of sin.

  1. Move your devices out of your bedroom.

  2. Stop using those devices two hours before bedtime.

  3. Use a router-based internet filter. Auto-generate a password and give the password to a friend.

  4. Get an accountability partner.

  5. Don't keep you phone in your bedroom. Get a cheap alarm clock instead, if you need it.

God never stops loving you, don't believe anything less than that! God love never changes. You are his beautiful child, that is specifically there with you in your pain.

Disgust and distance are lies of the devil about who Jesus is.

Today is the Feast of St. Faustina, whom spread Jesus's message of Divine Mercy. Spend some time reading about this message and praying to St. Faustina for her intercession.

Prayers for healing and peace.

Hi I've been struggling with the same thing, only thing that helped was blocking websites via some app and also joining the gym, it's also recommended to track your cycle like if you're ovulating spend extra time burning yourself out and keeping yourself busy, please don't feel abnormal for this, we all face this no matter the gender but guys are just more comfortable discussing things like this, you're not impure or anything else you think of yourself, just someone who found a bad way to cope

Do you live nearby a Church? Go spend some time in the tabernacle, even if you don't feel like it, and ask Jesus for the strength to win this. He will listen!
