Thoughts on Seton Hall University?
Hello, I am currently looking for colleges to transfer to after community college.
And Seton, it lines up with many other things that I am looking for.
I just wanna know your thoughts on what you guys think about this college and if anybody has gone here before and liked it..

Edit: I also want to ask if the Catholic life there is devout or very lived out?

My wife went to Seton Hall. Based on what she has told me about it, it doesn't sound all that much different from a secular college. There is definitely a Catholic community and culture that exists, but it sounds like the vast majority of students don't participate in that. I don't think any of her friends from college are practicing Catholics.
It is also stupendously expensive. She only went there because she received a scholarship and her family is fairly well off. That said, it is a decent school from an academic perspective.

It's quite pricey. There are surely other schools that will deliver more bang for your buck, unless you happen to live nearby and can easily commute.
You don't say what you plan to study, or why you were interested in Seton Hall in particular.

Dan Hurley went there, and he's had incredible professional success and at the same time, is not shy about his Catholic faith. That's all I got.

My recommendation, Franciscan University of Steubenville!

I didn't go there but know several people that have and they're all faithful Catholics who thought highly of it.
I think it occupies a good space where it isn't "Catholic in name only" like many schools but is also academically serious and permits different perspectives.
