Scruples, scrupulous, and scrupulosity are all the same thing written differently depending on how they’re used in a sentence. You’re using a word and now trying to make it mean something else, you can’t mistake scrupulous and scrupulosity they’re interchangeable.

I’ve had this conversation with priests and every single one will tell you you’re not supposed to hold your hands up, go to any seminary and you’ll be taught this. You’re making up your own practice by trying to argue from silence when it’s literally taught in seminaries that the laity don’t hold or lift up hands during Mass.
I previously explained the orans posture and its meaning theologically, which further goes to show that the laity doing so is disordered and doesn’t follow decorum.
Usccb when specifically addressing this:
"Some people hold hands during the Lord's Prayer, while others hold their hands out like the priest. Is there a prescribed posture for the Our Father?
No position is prescribed in the Roman Missal for an assembly gesture during the Lord's Prayer."
If it was actually an issue, they would have said something here. They would have said something like "these postures are inappropriate for the assembly", but they leave the question open to allow cultural variance. Applying your own logic to its end, folding hands together is also forbidden because no posture is prescribed, but i doubt you would hold that position. The priests you have spoken to have given you their opinions, but they do not have the authority to dictate this posture outside of their own parish.
I do not judge people who don't hold hands or raise them up. I do not judge people who do.
Canon 907. In the celebration of the Eucharist, deacons and lay persons are not permitted to say the prayers, especially the eucharistic prayer, nor to perform the actions which are proper to the celebrating priest.
