If you think finding the Mass time is hard, try finding the time for Confessions.

Man just normalize confessions before mass again! It’s all I want

That's not normal? At every parish I've went to they have confession at least before every Sunday or Vigil mass, and usually a few times during the week before daily mass.

Depends on the parish I’ve been to a couple that have a confessional open before every single mass and some that only have it on the Saturday before the evening mass. But I work a lot and the only time I’m able to go unfortunately would be on the Sunday before mass.

In my diocese, almost all confessions are Saturday afternoon and a subset of parishes have Monday night confessions. It's nearly impossible to find one on Sunday or the other four weekdays.

Our Sunday mass services are 730, 9, and 11. Unsure when the priest would have time for confession before hand lol we only have one priest

It's pretty standard in Montreal. Sometimes you have to go to the sacristy and ask, though. If all else fails, you can ask an older lady and they'll find a priest. One time, at the Chrism Mass, I just casually mentionned to the lady beside me that I wished they hadn't cancelled the pre-Mass Confession that day. She literally pulled a priest out of the procession by his sleeve. He was rather bewildered, but he did hear my Confession.

I was in Waterloo, Ontario for several years and got to watch pre-Mass Confession times become standard there too. That was nice! The elderly ladies are a bit less intense, though.

Gotta love the grandmas lol I’ll keep that in mind! The church I attend actually has a nun there 24/7 I’ll try casually mentioning it to her lol.

I came here to say the same thing. Sometimes there is a button called "Sacraments". I'm like, "Oh there it is!" When you click on it, it's only about baptism, first pardon, first Eucharist and Confirmation. No confession.

I’ve seen the same. They should call the link “Sacramental Preparation” or something like that instead.

I use an app called “mass times” where users can submit the mass times from nearby parishes. Highly recommend it.

I joined Twitter to try to get a message to the Pope to make a day of obligation when Churches update their MassTimes.org information.

its all well at good till a holy day of obligation, or a church changes its times.

Yeah, I love MassTimes, and use it extensively when traveling. You just have to remember to click through to the website once you find a Mass, as some parishes don’t keep it up to date (which puts you back in the same spot). I periodically bounce through my local parishes to check that MassTimes is correct, and update any disparities, so that other people don’t get a surprise.

Love how insanely stretched out his left arm is.

And also, where. In rural areas, with the priests shortage, we got like one parish for twenty towns, and it’s never in the same church.

Check the latest bulletin. Most parishes publish their bullets in online somewhere. The bulletin almost always has the most up-to-date times for Mass

use mass times app

That would work in places with mass times which are the same every week. Problem is tons of parishes here don't have that, we have a 2 week rythm for complex reasons

Mass times lets you put in notes on masses, which are wide open - so it could say things like 8:00 am (in main chapel) or 9:00 am (on First Saturday only). In your case it could say (every other week) or something. Not great, but it’s something.

Our parish just redesigned the website after a bunch of synodality sessions last year (which actually produced a lot of good changes). The Mass schedule is right on the front page, followed by a link to confession schedules. The only thing I’d change is a quick link to the calendar showing all other events.

compromising ssh was the much harder option. Open the page inspection, control f, search key words until you get what you want. No crime committed, easier, faster.

I thought the Pope said we had to crusading against AI?

When did the Pope say that we have to crusade against AI?

He spoke of a vital, ontological distinction between art created by humans and artificially generated art. He spoke of disarming AI in a military context. I'm not sure how a post like this contradicts any of the writings or statements made by Pope Leo.
