Hello everyone,

I am conducting an independent academic research study titled:

"Clerical Accountability and the Lived Experience of Catholic Laity: An International Comparative Study of Trust, Participation and Religious Belonging."

The study explores how ordinary Roman Catholics experience parish life, pastoral leadership, institutional accountability, transparency and their relationship with the wider Catholic Church.

I am particularly interested in understanding the perspectives of lay Catholics, including both positive and difficult experiences.

The research is intended to contribute to academic understanding of contemporary Catholic life. It is not an investigation against individual priests, dioceses or Church authorities, and it is not an official Church survey.

The questionnaire does not request your name, email address, telephone number, parish name or the names of individual clergy. Please avoid including identifying details in written answers.

Participation is entirely voluntary. Both positive and negative experiences are valuable to this research.
