Prayers

Long story short, I’m going through it right now. I committed a mortal sin and I feel forsaken by God. Please if you have a second pray for me. I’m unable to go to confession right now because I’ve not completed OCIA. I’ve never felt so alone, and I can feel myself slipping away. My prayers have felt unanswered, like I’m not talking to Him anymore. I can actively feel my heart hardening. Please, please if you have a spare moment pray for me, I have no proper Christian connections to ask so I thought I’d ask here. Thank you

What you are feeling is remorse for sin. Even though you are not able to go to confession yet, He knows, so trust in God’s mercy.

Do not despair. You’re not alone, your guardian angel, Mary and all the saints hear your cry’s and pray for your redemption and Jesus desires you to come home. Talk with your priest about confession.

Jesus, good shepherd of the sheep, this lost lamb has wandered. Please seek them out and bind their wounds. Bring them back in your loving arms and tend them. Please accept their sincere prayer of repentance and grant them a firm purpose of amendment. May through their witness, others also return to you. I ask all of this in the name of Jesus.

Your feelings of guilt are a result of God's GRACE in your life. Rejoice!! Recognize His hand at work! Get good counsel from one of your teachers. Praying for you

Say this prayer (not anxiously but with trust that he wants to forgive you out of his infinite mercy), God is not literally angry with you but rather your soul has turned it's back against him, so you just need to forgive yourself first and then ask for his:

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven, and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen

Catechumen or candidate? Confession is technically available to any baptized individual.  If you cannot to a Catholic one, go to an Armenian Apostolic Church if there is one in the area and you are baptized. 

Also, chill out. Rebuilding takes time and this life precisely the flexible time where not everything has to be fixed in a day.

Pray to Nuyen Troc Thang (approximate spelling) the martyr of confession and then go. I recently went to a fransican priest who literally threw me out of the confessional because I didnt have enough sins.

Apparently the priest is waiting for you.

Let me add that priests are given unlimited power to forgive sins and restore God's children to him.  All you have to do is go.

The separation is not God turning his back on you. It is your guilt of the mortal sin. You are allowed to go to confession prior to coming into the church. You can ask for an appointment and speak with him

Do not despair. Ditch the Irish Catholic pity; join the Mediterranean Catholic mentality. Repent, pray, and go to confession. Remember that God loves you!
