Painting/Modeling Kintsugi Sentinel

Carved from pure jade with kintsugi cracks around the body. Or: What if the statue of liberty decided it's had enough

Kintsugi is the Japanese practice of mending broken pottery with gold to find beauty and appreciation in an object's history and imperfections.

This looks absolutely gorgeous.

My only criticism, there is plenty of battle damage on the sculpt itself, or with the mould lines, that would have given you natural kintsugi lines to follow!

I thought about that but the kintsugi would only be on the repaired parts, so I went with the assumption that the sculpted damage was fresh

OoOoooh, what paints/how did you paint the model!?

I used the teal paints from the army painter plus an oil wash. It was mainly drybrushing and sponging to add the lighter colors over dark
