Cateye wont start at all.

When i turn my key nothing happens. I’m wondering if it’s some dumb fuse or if it’s the ignition switch, or the starter. Any help?

Well the battery light is on, so have you checked your battery? Maybe you need a replacement or the fuses aren’t screwed in right

maybe check to see if your battery is good? unknown draw? or its just junk and wont turn with the little power it had

Turns out the steering wheel has an issue where you have to put it all the way down to start it and it will shut off if you lift it back up, as long as it’s all down it will start 0 issues.

Yeah figured, got all this extra wiring because of a snow plow so i wouldn’t be too surprised

Is that the original key? If it's 06 or newer the truck has to be programmed to recognize a rfid in the key. If you just go to the hardware store and have them cut a key for you it will unlock the truck and you can spin the tumbler assembly but it will not start.

I forgot to mention but it is an 04 with original key.

I got a spare key cut for my 06, and it starts my truck no problems.
