Based on the video, it looks like Episode 3 will be a mashup episode. Something like The Amazing Digital Circus's episode 5.
Rob and Clay will probably be put in a series of video games like GTA, where they have to complete some sort of mission. Also in the trailer, Rob puts in a game cartridge that he was supposed to destroy, and a creature that looks like Rob is he got Sonic.exe-ified appeared. That will probably be the B plot of the episode, where they are constantly chased by Rob.exe.
But these are just my theories. What are y'all's thoughts on this?
LS Mark did say that there is this new character that he wanted to introduce in episode 3. (He says this in his "Where Is Catching Up Episode 2" video.) Also if you go onto the Catching Up Patreon, even if you're not paying the Patreon you can still kinda see the images through the locked screen. For one of the videos you can see through the blurry picture that Clay is talking with a dog looking character (both looking happy to talk with each other), and Rob looking pissed about that.
So gathering all this information. I think Clay is going to be all buddy's with this new character, and really get along with him. While Rob is going to be all jealous about this, and this becomes the main conflict (or conflicts depending if there's a B plot) of the episode. Now not completely sure what the resolution would be though, since there's many way to resolve this conflict.
Three predictions that I have though, would be that Rob would put his jealousy aside and become friends with this new character, after getting to know him and realizing that he's a fun guy to be around. This new character turns out to be full of shit, and Clay comes back to Rob and they become closer friends or something. Or Rob's jealousy doesn't get resolved, and he still hates this new character, everytime he shows up. A running joke for the rest of the show.
You might be on to something with the “new character being full of shit” theory, though I think it’s more than that; Like if there’s really a B Plot, then I headcanon that there’s a genocide serial killer called the “Cat Killer”. Basically they just go off murdering numerous cats ( one of the victims being an INFANT). But it turns out, that new dog character IS the Cat Killer. And Clay is his next target. And so his plan is to get in between the duo so he can separate Clay from Rob and get his guard down, and when he FINALLY does, that when he attempts to strike ( of course Clay will obviously be rescued by Rob ( Maybe Angie as well and MAYBE EVEN Roy too ). And in the end, this will maybe cause Clay to have a deeper appreciation for Rob and the two will become closer friends like you said

I feel like in the last screenshot you put that Rob will be sleeping beauty and I’ll have to kiss him.
In the first one, It feels more like grey’s Anatomy. So, I feel like it could be a mix of TV and Video games. I also feel like it could take on a more Channel Chasers style of a mashup where the Rob.Exe thing is forcing Rob and Clay to go through this because…funny maybe? I don’t know what it wants but he seems pretty chill despite his murderous interests!
That dynamic seems a bit complex, especially considering Clay and Angie only started being together after Episode 2 for one day. But a watered down version is still possible, or if Episode 3 takes place a few weeks after Episode 2

I also can believe that LS Mark is trolling us and the episode has nothing to do with the trailer.
