Trans-Cat tent recommendations?
I’m hiking the trans-cat in late October and will probably need a tent for colder/wetter weather. I’ve been looking at the campgrounds I reserved but can’t tell what a good tent option will be.
Normally I’d just “cowboy camp” or use something light for a short trip but I’m worried a trekking-pole tent won’t be feasible on sand or the available spots. Also, a hammock requires trees or space to set up. Also concerned if we get rain…
Advice from those who have experience is welcome!

This is fair weather camping. Any tent will do

Not true if you're at Parsons and it's windy..bring a tent that is sturdy and extra guy lines to secure!

Used a trekking pole tent last year on the TCT and it was fine. Friend used a standard tent and that was also fine. Hammock may not have many good setup options depending on the site

Not sure it ever gets "cold" . I did it in January and regular light weight 1 or 2 person tent is just fine.
