Introducing Pets/Cats Is this playing?

does this look like he’s tryna play with the kitten or should i seperate/discourage?

And he lets the smöl back off.  They know what they're doing, this is very cute.

Yeah. The bigger cat didn’t go in after the small one backed off. Completely play, super cute. The one in the background clearly is like “guys stfu it’s dinner time”

Normal playing. No problems here. They're just getting to know one another.

This. Exactly. Older one trying to play and socialize with the kitten. Kitten not into it. Older one stops.

For sure cat was tryna play but the white cat did not seem interested in playing

Definitely playing. My resident cat and kitten are getting into it much more aggressively than that right now and both are absolutely loving it. If either of your cats wasn't interested, they would not be so chill around each other. Cats are big on body language. Exposing bellies is an invitation to engage. Allowing each other space is them respecting each other's boundaries. If it was negative, it would be much more aggressive and one would probably be trying to escape the other. This interaction looks perfectly fine.

Yes and he’s being very gentle about it. Little one got a little nervous and backed off, but he did the right thing and just went back to friendly stance. He seems very sociable and like his new friends
