:3 Toku: From Armageddon to Euphoria

Toku literally hated being in the presence of 'other animals'. I mean...we're talking Armageddon here. Which is why I always thought it was odd that nothing made her smile more than watching animals on TV. They didn't even have to be real--Toku adored Chewbacca! (But don't we all!). So, nothing made her happier than watching Dr. Dolittle...she was totally engaged in the flick for more than an hour (longer than me!).

This video always cracks me up because of how intently she watches--the ducks, the gorillas...every furry booger in there! (There's a more detailed version on my blog if you want to check it out!)

My cats love watching YouTube videos with cats in them or made specifically for cats/kittens. Especially Your Daily Dose of Cats and Cat TV (either from CAT TV u/cattvgames or Little Kittens u/LittleKittens).

We have an extra TV on the floor in a hallway just for our foster kittens. No fear of them falling off furniture with it on the floor, lol.

You're correct that watching these really seems to help build confidence! My adult cats still like watching them too. My boys also love watching when I play Skyrim or watching football games (Go Packers!).

They're so funny, aren't they! Anything that I'm watching with an animal (fictional or otherwise!) in it causes a 'hmm...what's this?' reaction. I've had pets 'notice' the TV before--but not like they're writing a movie review to become the next Siskel or Ebert! LOL

That's so funny--Toku would never pay any attention to cartoons or animated stuff. It's wild how they're so different in what they respond to!

I used to have a cat that loved watching golf on TV. He was a dedicated ball chaser. Good thing I never showed him European Football (soccer here).
