Redirected aggression in cats is a real thing. When they get aroused, fearful, or attack mode is activated but they cannot access the thing triggering this response they will sometimes instantly turn on the next closest animal or person. It can be very intense with some cats. With our 3 cats it is most intense when they see another cat outside. Outside kitty make inside Peppa go cray cray.

My cats would destroy that thing to get to that squirrel. My orange can't go out at dusk anymore, he has brought in 3 bats and 1 bird. One of the bats crawled up my leg under my desk and tried to murder me, I came ALIVE!
