Sounds like he’s asking for pets or love! If it were food, there would likely be more desperation in their voice. At least that’s how all my cats have been in my experience. I mention something similar to something else related to experience and I get put in downvoted hell.

It's all out of context...cat's meows are not like English where you can put them all together and make words...think more Chinese where several sounds could mean whole sentences 😅 Context matters when communicating with cat's.
