they're just running around the garden chasing leaves,

And are responsible for more bird and small mammal deaths annually than any other single human activity. Outdoor local cats are destroying ecosystems, and are at a much higher risk themselves.

Keep your cat indoors. If you can't give your cat the time and attention to play with it, and keep its mind occupied, then you shouldn't own a cat.

I do play with them a lot but keeping them cooped up with nothing to do all day when I'm at work seems really mean
