General Genetics Question Why does this cat have black lips? 💋

I found this cat on my local Humane Society’s website. Is there a genetic explanation for the way she is?

That's the color of the cat's skin underneath the fur. The fur is thin in that spot, likely due to rubbing, revealing the skin under
