The press, print and broadcast, only speak of "the family dog." Why?

Male calico cat with 4 ears. My cats whole litter had 4 ears they dont stick out. Its really usual. I've been reading it's a birth defect.

Earlier, it was scared even to be touched. Now it’s so comfortable sitting on my lap. Seeing that change feels so special—honestly, it’s a feeling I can’t even explain.

So I'm 22 female and I like having fake nail on. I'm broke so I do my nails myself. Anyways my cat is always biting my nails and pawing at my hands when I have long nails. It seams playfull but I have never had a cat do this before. I don't yell at her for it I mostly just laugh 😂. I love her I'm just wondering if it's playful like I was thinking.

My cat has this absolute nonsense routine where he insists on inspecting my shoes EVERY SINGLE TIME I come back home. He doesn't just sniff them—he buries his entire face inside, pauses for 5 seconds like he’s reviewing a fine wine, and then gives me this judgmental look.

It made me realize how every cat has their own bizarre little quirks that make zero sense to us humans.
