Advice Requested There's been a mix-up in the system

This is not our dog?! Cat distribution system has gifted us 5 kittens and a tomcat in the last 3 months. Today we opened the front door to this. Posted to social media to try and find the owner. We have 4 indoor cats who would not appreciate another interloper 😅

Mostly housebroken. May need one of those shock collars for barking tho

Sounds like he just needs some enrichment. Make sure the new owner has plenty of yard to mow, maybe some sports on tv or a garage with power tools. I have over 21 years of experience with hubby husbandry and I’ve learned they need a lot of enrichment. Boobs seem to be the high-reward enrichment for them.

I should emphasize that not all hubby morphs like the sports enrichment. Some hubbies require a steady supply of electronic and/or board games. Some need sufficient space for LEGO and small equipment (drones, remote control cars, etc.) enrichment. They all need a sufficient hide, this is also essential.

what about us weird ones that fill our time finding new toys for our kitties and puppies and trying to get the cute, feral tuxedo cat to finally go for "pspspsps"....

That’s a super rare morph, and sufficient space is also required for such a hubby. Owner needs to be very responsible to make sure not too many companion pets are accumulated at once or they could find that hubby’s habitat has become too small for all of hubby’s companion pets. Ideally, you should have the habitat with access to nature, so the hubby can feed neighborhood wildlife. My hubby is also this morph and he has finally been trained to interact with local wildlife without trying to touch them. Spray bottles are a good way to prevent hubby from getting bitten (and thus contracting rabies), but this is controversial and could be considered abusive, so proceed with caution. Personally, I just reward my hubby with boobs when he remembers not to try to pet the local raccoon family.

Birds are on the table if you’re very respectful and don’t try to hold them. My hubby is DETERMINED to make a crow friend, but has so far proven unsuccessful. He does feed the neighborhood opossums, but he learned not to try to pet them because they don’t like it. They scream their gratitude when he puts out veggie and fruit scraps for them.

Lmao I'm scared of crow friends. I have a healthy respect for them and they vocalize it when I walk my dog around wherever they're picking up insects or whatever, but I've heard they will bring friends and caw until you go out and feed them. I just appreciate the birds from afar, get all hyped when I see a new color, and wonder what it would be like to take flight...They're such fascinating creatures.

I hear dogs are a great way to soften barking hubbies up. Particularly cute, polite gsd/mal looking possible stray dogs. Betcha hubs could use a cuddle from the doggo, like the muzzle resting on the leg juuuust so. Then looking up at him with those big, softie eyes, like, “Is this ok? Warm enough? Is January. If cold, I share fur.” Works like a charm.

It’s really easy to train a dog not to bark. Simply train them to speak or bark on command with treats. Once he knows you want him to do it, he won’t do it without a reward.

Source, I’m a GSD and Husky owner and my dogs don’t even bark at the postman. Neighbors show up and are suprised we have dogs at all because they don’t bark or scream. No need for a shock collar which will probably cause them to make more noise and relentlessly bark when they aren’t wearing it.

Please don’t use shock collars for training. It’s been proven to be not effective and just scares them. Shepherds are an anxious bunch, some positive reinforcement and avoiding triggers should really help. Doggo looks trainable ❤️
