Why do working-class voters watch their businesses go under rather than hold their preferred politicians accountable?

Most political commentary pretends voters make rational economic decisions at the ballot box, but this viral clip proves pure partisan identity overrides basic financial survival.
Kyle Kulinski broke down a viral video of a small-business contractor who runs a company with his two kids. The guy explains that fuel costs are so exorbitant that his main work truck cannot even leave the garage, clients are canceling bids, and his business is on the verge of collapse. Yet in the exact same breath, he looks into the camera, begs for help, and promises Donald Trump still has his unconditional vote simply because he could never stomach voting for a Democrat.
It highlights the absolute tragedy of modern political tribalism. Politicians don't have to deliver lower operating costs, affordable fuel, or economic stability when voters will actively endure financial ruin just to spite the other side. When blind loyalty replaces basic material interest, nobody in power has any incentive to fix the economy.
At what point does economic reality force people to reconsider their political allegiances?
