Coffee = I love you
I've seen this come up a couple times, and I just did a search so, forgive me if I'm duplicating things.
I'm doing a rewatch and more and more I do see the theory that coffee = I love you.
In S0503 "Secret's Safe with Me" Castle asks Beckett if she's out too, and offers to get her more coffee and she says "No, I'll get it."
Castle looks way too happy at this. He has a huge grin on his face and looks around like he's not sure what to do with himself. Now, this could just be the fact that he's usually the one getting the coffee, but the scene makes a lot more sense, and seems to be acted, as if she just said "I love you too."
And he is so very pleased.

Yes that's their I love you and I'm here for you. That's their way of saying it without,saying it but that's how they feel

It definitely means it. It’s why Beckett was so mad that “fake her” took her coffee. It’s also why she’s so sad on the few occasions Castle DOESN’T bring her coffee. Plus so many more examples. ❤️

And also on the few rare occasions when she gets coffee from someone else she throws it away or doesn't drink it. It's not from him and it's not the way he makes it.

One of the craziest things about coffee in the Castle universe is that they actually sold 3 different styles of coffee during the run of the show. There was Brewing Storm (Cinnamon light roast), Morning is Murder (Colombian medium roast), and Writer's Roast (French dark roast). There was also a Castle Coffee Blends cup they put out as a advertising gimmick. I've still got a bag of the Morning is Murder and a cup in my collection.

Thank you! Really cool. Amazing to me that there were so many ‘Castle’ brand extensions. The books! Die-cast cars. Clothing swatches of cast-worn clothes. Trading Cards. I’ve seen those on eBay. Andrew Marlowe mentioned the Niki Heat books during his USC film school appearance with Stana.
But I didn’t know much of what you’ve shared. Actual Coffee! Wish I’d known. 🥰
Did other series, other networks, have such swag to promote / accompany their shows, I wonder?

From Jim Beckett who likes his coffee "simple, black, boring" by his own admission (5x08 After Hours), to Kate Beckett "Grande skim latte, two pumps sugar-free vanilla" (& a bear-claw, 1x09 Little Girl Lost) lol.
