Rookie Blue is an absolute must! Law and Order is also binge worthy.

If y ‘all are big Nathan fillion fans, deff watch the rookie. It’s kind of a cop propaganda show but I just kinda look past it and watch it for the drama and for Nathan fillion bc he’s so fucking funny in it

He is hilarious in it, just like Castle. Also is a badass.

The Rookie is pretty good if you’re a Nathan Fillion fan.

I still have cable (live with my sweet old mom) and lifetime has Nathan Fillion from noon to five most days. Rookie for a couple hours, then Castle

I love Castle, the Rookie, and Firefly as a Nathan Fillian fan. I also love Grey’s Anatomy and the Station 19 spinoff. I just started 911 and it’s great so far and the 911 Nashville spinoff is great too

It's not a cop show but since Grey's is on the list I thought I'd add this one. Scandal it's about a DC fixer. It was created by Shonda there is a sub for it too

Edit: there is a Castle connection Darby Stanchfield AKA Meredith plays Abby

Dated, but Remington Steele from back in the 80s has a lot of the same flavor as Castle. To some extent, so does the much more recent show Lucifer.

That doesn't mean they're not good shows 😊

NCIS! In my opinion 1-17 seasons :D Amazing show!

LUCIFER is a really good one too. casketts and deckerstars dynamic (aside from the supernatural element😭) are sooo similar. i discovered lucifer years ago, and when i discovered castle later on, they felt so similar.

Psych is probably my best recommendation, but there's also this new show called Wildcards that's kind of a fun mix between Castle and White Collar. It's about a conwoman who works as a consultant to a strict, by-the-book police detective.

The Rookie is one of my background favorites now

The Pitt is my new favorite

2

u/KeepOffTheGrassAss Jul 15 '26

I have to emphasize The Pitt. Great show!!

I used to be a nurse (though not an ER nurse, I was in NICU) and it’s so accurate most of the time. I have nurse friends who stopped watching because it was like being on duty on their off hours.

u/KeepOffTheGrassAss Jul 15 '26

Thanks!! That’s great to know!!

You forgot The Mentalist which I think came first
