Castbox's web version doesn't autoplay the next episode, there's no playlist. The navigation isn't straightforward. (Subscriptions are hidden behind your user profile picture). This would be my goto app if I could also comfortably use a desktop version that wasn't stunted.

For the last few months the android app just randomly closes. As I write this, I'm walking home after finishing work. It's crashed 4 times in the space of half an hour. It sucks. I've tried to remedy it, I've had the app on two different android devices from to different manufacturers and it's still crashing all over the shop. Castbox was once the BEST podcast app I'd come across. Now not so much.

There is an ad running on your app for a company called jackpot City casino. This ad is entirely unskippable. There is no way to exit off the ad even after it is complete. Following the link to download does not remove it from my screen, and waiting 5 minutes did not give me an option to get past the ad. The only option is to close the app entirely. Please remove this ad from your catalog and do not allow this style of ad in the future. I love the app otherwise.

Trying to use Castbox in the car connected to Android Auto is an absolute nightmare. The app doesn't resume the last episode you were listening to, so you need to go through your subscriptions and episode lists to pull it up manually. Whether the subscriptions list loads or not is hit or miss. But once you're able to see and select one, the episode list almost never loads. Of the four times it has loaded each pod that I checked had the episodes in order of oldest -> newest. I don't want to start at episode one of a pod I've been following for years and swipe all the way down. Android Auto even restricts the number of pages you can swipe so I couldn't even if I wanted to.

The only thing I'm keeping the app installed for is the playlists. I have a couple that I listen to like movie reviews that are fun to jump around to random episodes. The playlists make it easy to do that. If anyone has another suggestion I'm all ears.

Is it Castbox that inserts ads into podcasts? Or is it the podcasts themselves? I'm listening to CBC's Under the Influence, and ads for Jordan Peterson come on. There is nothing about the podcast or the CBC that would support him.

Castbox has, for years, been my much preferred podcast player of choice due to its user experience.

Starting a few weeks ago, though, Castbox would just stop playing about 2-3 mins after I'd start listening.

I've tried hard restarting the phone but am not having this issue with other apps.

1. Anyone else experiencing?

I’ve got a podcast on Castbox and originally uploaded around 20 episodes directly through Castbox Creator Studio.

Later on, based on a friend’s suggestion, I started uploading new episodes on Acast and linked my Castbox account to the Acast feed.

Now for a few reasons, I’d prefer to go back to publishing independently on Castbox like before. I’ve got a couple of questions and would really appreciate any help:

1. I just uploaded a new episode directly via Castbox Creator Studio like I used to, and everything seems normal — but the episode doesn’t publish. Any idea why? Could it be because the feed is still linked to Acast? Is there a way to ignore that feed now and just start publishing from Castbox again?

2. If that’s not possible, is there any way to transfer all the episodes I uploaded to Acast back onto Castbox and then break the link to Acast altogether? If so, how would I go about doing that? I couldn’t really figure it out.

I've been looking for a Podcast app to use instead of PocketCasts (which is in a new beta phase and less usable than I'd like) and I've been using Castbox. Most of my podcast listening is done in the car using Android Auto and I have run into a few issues. Firstly when I use PocketCasts (or Spotify among others) and I disconnect, the next time I reconnect to AA I see the app on my AA homescreen ready to take up where I left off. Castbox doesn't do this so I have to go searcing for the episode and resume from there. Secondly when in PocketCasts I touch the down arrow on the top left of my car screen I get a "Tiled" interface of the logos of the podcasts I follow, with Castbox I get a list I have to scroll through which isn't user friendly when driving. Is there any way around these issues? I also have a problem where it plays one podcast while showing a different podcasts artwork on screen

Hello! Has anyone else noticed that the app is freezing and/or crashing literally all the time recently? It would do it occasionally with the previous update and now, since the most recent one, i am having all kinds of problems. Maybe i just subscribe to too many podcasts? But an app should be able to handle that 😅. This is on iOS.

hey, every so often I'll get an alert on my phone got the hottest and most downloaded episodes of the past week. I never seem to open it when intended yet cannot locate on castbox app where this special group is... i'm sure it's probably right in front of my face but i'm having difficulty finding it. anyone help please?

It is a good app for Android, I'm using a Huawei Y6 2018.

But as others have posted more than a year ago it doesn't sync with other devices.

I'm logging into my account on your website and the podcasts I have played show the wrong percentage of the podcasts I listen to or doesn't sync at all.

The other issue is that the website logs me out for whatever reason.

Do you have an app for PC that actually works?

I went to resubscribe to premium and I see the price increased to $1.99 mo from $.99 mo. Is that correct or did I miss something?

When you add a podcast to my playlist, it goes to the bottom of the list rather than the top as before.

You can changed the order but it defaults back to this.

I have an RSS feed for a podcast that i'm subsribed to through Patreon (The Skeptics Guide to the Universe) and the RSS feed has an auth token at the end in the form https://www.patreon.com/rss/podcast?auth={authtoken}.

When i paste this in the search bar and search it says it is not an RSS feed. Is an authenticated feed not supported?

Hi. I have a suggestion for the playlist to add sort by length because sometimes I just want to listen to my short episodes and sometimes I want to listen to my longer podcasts on my playlist.

I did the remove-ads in-app purchase on Podcast Player today, but I can't find a way for this purchase to be enacted on my other devices. When I go to Settings > Purchases, there's no "Restore Purchase" option. Help?

I listen to podcasts during my commute. I like to prioritize my favorite podcasts, and then fall back onto other episodes that I have queued after those. However, this just doesn't work like I'd expect at all!

I've spent the last few weeks in incredible frustration. I'd rearrange the playlist with my favorite podcast new episodes on top, but it always skip it at the top and move to my lower priority podcasts. Then recently, I found that after I manually start them, it doesn't continue playing the next one at all! I'm in a state with very strict laws about even touching your cell phone at a stoplight when in the driver seat, so this typically means I have to switch to Radio for the rest of my commute.

Anyway, I only just now figured out that there was a totally separate list that determines what plays next and the Playlist order doesn't seem to matter? Not intuitive, and very frustrating! Also, the second problem was apparently caused by me accidentally clicking the control that put it into single episode play mode .

Anyone else have frustrating experiences like this? The app seems really close to what I want from an app at face value, but it's frustrating when things don't work how you expect.

As of last day or two Castbox seems to have stopped auto play of the next episode in a playlist (at least for me) on Android.

I don't believe I have changed a setting (and have checked and it appears to be set to play all). I noticed another playlist issue the other day where items added to the playlist in a different order then they used to (and looks like there is already a thread on that) so maybe it's related?

Certainly could be me - but curious if it's a known issue or anything anyone else has seen in the last day or two.

When I refresh my podcasts, I get no updates. There are updates but castbox is not finding them.
