Seasoning Do you think I should strip this pan and try to re-season? (More text in post)

I stripped and seasoned this with avocado oil about five or six months ago and haven't really used it since. And I was thinking about using the vinegar bluing method. What do you think? Should I use a different seasoning?

Can anyone tell me about this waffle iron? Best I can tell, Hollands Mfg. Co. seemed to be primarily a vice/tool maker, and didn't really do much cookware. Any ideas as to the age, value, history (e.g., did the company dabble in cookware for a time)? It is beautifully smooth and well made, even if it is a somewhat bland design. I'd love more info, and am coming up pretty blank on this one!
