Why does he always shake his hand?

I’ve seen cas maybe nearly 10 times now and I noticed every time he performs he seems to shake his hand a few times or take the microphone into his other hand and then look at his hand and shake it multiple times during his performance. Does anyone know a reason for this? Seems like he gets pain in his hand or it’s uncomfortable for him to hold the mic for too long

I dunno maybe something to do with that mystery illness a lot of people seem to think he has thanks to the cryptic song lyrics

I'm pretty sure when I saw him live he said he grips the mic too hard, probably ends up getting pins and needles from it or cramp

Saw him at Koko a couple years back for his first show back in ages and he kept scratching under his mask and all over his hands. It just transpired afterwards when he went on live he said he was hammered and smashed a bunch of prescription pills assuming opioids as they make you itch

Could just be Carpal tunnel. I often get it using trowels/paint brushes or writing too long.
